Should I consider both executive level jobs and six figure jobs posted on the internet?
Although the internet is not how most executive level positions are found, it is certainly an important resource when conducting an executive job search. There are obviously many six figure jobs that are not executive level jobs. The challenge when making an executive career change is to not get bogged down reviewing the many 6 figure jobs that are not executive positions, but to also be sure not to ignore the sites with 100k jobs because they do often include appropriate executive positions. For example, an executive search firm may elect to post a position either among sites with all other types of 6 figure jobs or on sites with only executive level jobs.
Even though most successful executive career change situations are not accomplished through the internet, it still is definitely prudent to consider six figure jobs on the internet. One of the valuable contributions our job lead specialists and researchers bring to our clients is knowing which internet sites are probably most appropriate to an executive career change and which are probably not. They are also adept at knowing how to filter through the over 100k jobs to find the executive level jobs posted on the multitude of sites that have all types of six figure jobs. So in summary, we do not ignore credible sites with 100k jobs and 6 figure jobs, but we are continually learning which sites are likely to be most beneficial to helping our clients find the right new position for their career and which ones should also maintain confidentiality when that is required.
